Summer Nicole Rydel, DDS

Dentist in Austin, Texas

Dr. Summer Rydel graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas.


During her time in Lubbock, she was actively involved in her sorority and a member of Golden Key National Honors Society. After graduating, Dr. Summer Rydel served as a dental assistant in Austin while preparing for dental school. She moved to New York to pursue her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from New York University College of Dentistry and returned to set up her own practice, A Summer Smile. To remain current in her field, she is a member of the Capital Area Dental Society, the Texas Dental Association, and the American Dental Association.


When she is not in the office, Dr. Rydel gives back to the community through outreach programs and sponsorships. After restoring smiles during the week, you will find her on the tennis courts or spending quality time with her husband, Mike, and their precious dog, Bella!

Andrea Stager, DDS

Dentist in Austin, Texas

Dr. Andie Stager graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California, with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry.


She continued her education, earning a Master of Science degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. After her Master's, she moved to San Antonio and pursued her dental degree at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry and completed her dental residency in the Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio.


Dr. Stager is happy to be living and working in Austin, focusing on patient-centered dental care and being closer to family. On the weekends, she loves going to concerts with her husband, trying new restaurants, and walking her mini goldendoodle, Lennon.

Amber

Practice Manager

Our practice manager, Amber, has been with our office for 8 years! She first came to us as Dr Rydel’s dental assistant; slowly, her love for learning expanded her into the world of Dental insurance and customer service. Amber maintains her dental assistant license and enjoys sneaking to the back to utilize her skills when she can. 

Nicole

Front Office Manager

Nicole holds down the front desk! With her extensive knowledge of the ins and outs of dental insurance, she helps guide our patients in understanding their insurance policies. Nicole is engaged and soon to be married in Scotland in 2025. Her husband-to-be and she enjoy wineries and spending time with all their fur babies in their new cozy home. She also enjoys curling up with a great book!

Ashley

RDA

Ashley was born and raised in the growing small town of Buda. She has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 18 years and has been with A Summer Smile since June 2024. Her wealth of experience and her ability to connect with patients on a personal level create an environment where you will feel at ease from the moment you step through our doors. Ashley strives to transform routine appointments into enjoyable experiences, leaving a lasting impression on our patients. On the weekends, you can find Ashley at one of many sporting events with one of her four children. And in her rarely free “adult” time, she enjoys being on a patio, enjoying time with her fiancée, Daniel!

Lea

RDH

Lea is a passionate dental hygienist on a mission to keep smiles bright while bonding with her patients! She’s a cat-loving Buckeye, and when not at work, you’ll find her globe-trotting with her husband or savoring delicious bites at new restaurants!

Ashleigh

RDH

Ashleigh has been a dedicated dental hygienist since 2019, providing care and expertise to patients while fostering a comfortable and welcoming environment. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for promoting oral health. Ashleigh takes pride in helping patients achieve and maintain healthy, confident smiles! Outside of work, she is an avid singer / Karaoke DJ, often finding joy in music to unwind and express creativity. She shares her life with her wife, Sara, two playful cats, and an energetic dog, making family time a top priority. Their close-knit family brings balance and joy to every day, both in and out of the dental office.

Amy

RDH

Amy has been a devoted dental hygienist since 2010, with extensive experience in providing exceptional patient care! She is a native-born Texan and quickly fell in love with Austin when she moved here in 2012. Amy is passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest dental practices to ensure her patients receive the best care possible. Outside of her professional life, Amy enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog, Charlie. She also has a love for live music, traveling, and exploring the best taco spots in Austin!
